The Corcelette was one of the few things of theirs we hadn't tried (or bought) until our July 2026 club. 😂 The Corcelette vineyard was made famous by Jean Foillard about 15 years ago, and today a handful of producers have access to fruit from this special site. The soils vary quite a bit across the vineyard, which means the resulting wines can look surprisingly different. Foillard’s vines sit in sandy soils, producing those silky, rich, almost velvety expressions of Morgon that he’s famous for. Desvignes sources their Corcelette from 50-year-old vines planted in a pocket of pink granite — the same type of soil that defines the neighboring crus of Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent. The result is a Morgon that leans more floral, lifted, and refreshing than powerful or dense. Honestly, we can't fully express how stunning this wine is. Lightly floral, it almost tastes like shades of pink and red (just look at that label!). Think pink pppercorn, pink pansy flowers, red currants, and wild tayberries. It’s delicate, vibrant, and somehow manages to feel both serious and completely joyful at the same time.

We love it with… pan-seared miso-glazed salmon, mushroom duxelles, or Cheez-Its (don't knock it til you try it)

Type: Red
Vintage: 2024
Size: 750mL
ABV: 13.0%
Grape: Gamay
Region: Morgon, Beaujolais, France
Vinification: In conversion to organic.
