Jean-Paul Brun Terres Dorées 'FRV100'
Jean-Paul Brun
The name FRV100 is a play on the word “effervescent” (sound out the letters and number in French and you’ll hear it) and a nod to the playful spirit of this off-dry, sparkling rosé. We’ve poured it at a few tastings now, and you all LOVE it—we literally can’t stock it fast enough (so if it’s sold out while you’re reading this, now you know why 😂). It’s fantastic with anything you usually struggle to pair: spicy Asian, Thai, or Mexican food, brunch, or those tricky cruciferous veggies like asparagus, kale, and broccoli.
We love it with… 🌶️🥦🍳
Type: Sparkling
Vintage:
Size: 750mL
ABV: 0.085
Grape: Gamay
Region: Beaujolais, France
Vinification: Farmed organically. Made with the méthode ancestrale: the hand-harvested fruit is destemmed and fermented in vat until it reaches around 6% alcohol. The wine is then lightly filtered and bottled and allowed to finish fermenting; there is always some residual sugar (usually in the 30-60g/L range).
For the nerds: Though the vintage is not allowed on the label, FRV100 is always a single-vintage wine.
