Rochebin 'Hérrison' Bourgogne Passetoutgrain AOP Rouge
Domaine Rochebin
Domaine Rochebin farms about 50 hectares of sustainably tended vines in Azé, in the heart of the Mâconnais. Established in 1925, the domaine focuses on thoughtful, relatively low-intervention winemaking that respects the traditions of the region. Mickaël Marillier, who leads the estate today, is a fountain of dynamic energy — his team calls him “Mr. Yes” because, in his mind, anything is possible and he’s always willing to try something new. Hérrison was Communal Brands’ first foray into premium bag-in-box wine. The company, founded by Master of Wine Melissa Saunders, is rooted in a focus on sustainability and alternative packaging, and this project grew directly out of that ethos. Fresh and unapologetically easygoing, passe-tout-grain is a nod to Burgundian history, when Gamay was widely planted alongside Pinot Noir before being pushed south toward Beaujolais. Typically a blend of the two grapes, these wines are known for being light, bright, and crushable — perfect with a slight chill and ideal for everyday drinking.
